Projects, Progress and Pukie Kitties

Today is my last day off (boooo!) but I so gently was awoken by the sound of my Clyde yacking up only what I could imagine was either a lung or a good portion of her liver... She of course just looked at me when she was finished and sauntered away with that "Good morning, now clean it up" look on her little face.

Then she proceeded to hide by the sub-woofer as I cursed back and forth from the hallway to the garbage can grabbing more and more paper towels. Here she is, guilty as charged...

(Don't worry no kittie puke is in the picture, our carpet is just filthy. LOL!)

Disneyland was awesomely fun, we actually stayed longer than we usually do, the rides were fast to get on, so we actually got on Pirates of the Carribean and the Haunted Mansion twice. I tell you, go on a Monday that isn't a holiday and the park is next to empty (ok there's still a ton of people but wait time for rides is ridiculously fast).

This is us being stupid while riding the Roger Rabbit ride. This is the only adult/kid ride in Toontown, my favorite place in the whole park, and Roger Rabbit is one of my favorites too...

This here be Indiana Cranky Face... whenever we go to Disneyland he insists on making that cranky kid face for every picture.

This is as far as we got for Star Tours (C3P0 is right inside the entrance). The line was only supposed to be a 10 minute wait, but after not moving for a good 20 minutes, folks started walking out. The ride was broken... BUMMER!

I spent way too much on Smushy, but I got her a little Pirate Minnie mouse, a t-shirt, a onesie and a little dress/bloomer set. We also spent way too much on food, getting into the park, all that mess, but it was soooooo worth it. We had so much fun.

And now to finally reveal the secret crochet project I've been working on. A girl I work with is pregnant and due any minute, but also has a terrible ulcer that the baby has been pressing on, so she has not had a great pregnancy so far, so a little something homemade should brighten her day (I hope)..

This is the super-easiest blanket to make, but a bear when it comes with all those little ends to weave in! I wish there had been a way to make it one continuous piece but since each motif starts from the middle, it's impossible...

Onto the big news. Smushy did well for her surgery is now in recovery. She's still going to be in the hospital for a little while, but she's doing really great so far and everything looks really good. I almost cried when my brother sent me the text message that they closed up the 2nd hole and would be re-united again in about an hour. I still wish I could have been there, but I'm just more happy she's ok.

I've finally started the Nordic Cardigan for her as well...

I'm making her the 12 month size because by the time she's that age she'll need it...

Now back to work on it... and cleaning house... ugh... last day off... I'm bummed :)

Great news about Smush!! Glad to hear that all went well for her!

It sounds like you guys had a good time at Disneyland...we are debating on bringing Kieran to one of them (d-world or d-land) sometime in the fall.

Also...very impressive work with the crocheted blankie!
