My knitting mojo that is.
After about 3-4 months of on again off again knitting, I think I've relocated my inspiration. It ran off to Guam on a 3 month bender only to return for about an hour every few Sundays then disappear just as fast.
I think it's partially due to the fact that I let my number of projects get out of control. I had been for a long time, one of those people that started and finished a project before moving onto the next. As of late though I think I have a grand total of seven, yes SEVEN different projects all at once.
One pair of socks for Chris, one scarf for Carlos, the "on the shelf" Tilted Duster, which is more collecting dust than anything. I haven't decided what I want to do with that. I'm seriously contemplating just tossing the whole thing. All I really have left is the bottom "skirt" and the collar but I can't seem to motivate.
Two girls in my department at work are due in August so they're getting baby blankets. I've tried to start one of them but after 2 false starts I think I'll finally have one going by this weekend (crossing my fingers).
Then I have two cross stitch projects and one needlepoint project
Wait that's eight... ok, I have EIGHT going all at once.
Not to mention the other 1,000 projects waiting in the wings.
So for now, I'm focusing on the scarf and I may let Chris' socks slide until the summer. Just last week we had three days of 100 degree or near 100 degree temperatures. If that's any indication to how the summer weather will be this year, the socks may be my only salvation this summer.
From my experience in the past with baby blankets, they're best worked in winter when the temperatures are actually cold. They're not so bad the first few rows but once that sucker gets anywhere past twelve inches, forget it, you're in for a lap full of HOT.
Lets see how it goes...
P.S. I'm dumb, I just remembered the Rona Lace Shawl... so that's nine projects at the moment. Duh.
